| Radiographic Film Review & Processing Program
Overview
The purpose of this session is to provide operating company personnel with an understanding of Radiographic Film Review and Processing activities. We will outline inspection and evaluation techniques, and the interpretation of acceptance criteria from various codes and standards relative to the non-nuclear "power" industry. In general, the session will provide a better understanding of the steps taken to determine:
- Quality of Radiographs
Analyze Discontinuities and Anomalies
Correlate Information on Reports
Determine if a Discontinuity is a Defect
Examine Different Types of Defects
Other specific items to be reviewed include the following:
Review actual welds and related x-ray film:

B. Analyzing the Image
Determining the quality of radiography density
Determining the quality of a radiograph penetration
Determining the quality of a radiograph coverage
Discontinuity decisions
Weld discontinuity types
Acceptance/rejection criteria
